Theme  ;  Challenge TheThreeMuses  / VINTAGE.

I had a hard time coming up with a idea for this theme
and actually this is my second piece.
I didn't threw the first one away but I wanted to share a more personal image with you which I thougt would suit this theme also.
When I was recently in the states, we also visited the Amish people in Pennsylvania. Their "vintage" way of life intrigues me and I loved meeting these kind people.
I took this photo of my DH Johan when we bought some fruit and drinks in the store and after we visit their bakery and stables as well.

Because we couldn't pay with our creditcard, Johan (still struggling with the foreign currency) opened his purse and the nice lady was so helpfull to grab the money by herself.  LOL
*****************************************
To give this photo an even older look, I followed a tutorial again.
Named ; the Nashville effect which you can find → HERE ←
Ofcourse it would have been easier to use a free online Photoshop Action
but than it would have been no challenge to me !!
It looks rather vintage don't you think ?
If only Johan had worn a farmers shirt !!  :-))

Love your very own vintage effect on your personal photo, Rian, another memory for your US holiday album!
Yes, I did save about 4 of jerry's bokeh textures, one will be featured on TAW next Monday.
LOVE your 'bewitched' pieces, evil, pure evil and wicked definitely my style!!!

What a beautiful photo, love the vibrant atmosphere of that scenery

The vintage look works perfectly in that photo. Very unique entry for the challenge. Love the flowers.
By the way, your bewitched piece is great!

Electra zei

Well, next time make sure YOU dress him!! I like the effect very much!

Rian, it does indeed look vintage. The Amish people are up near Hershey Pennsylvania and some other parts of the country. I think you can trust the woman to be honest in making change. You have made a beautiful piece to remember your trip by. Next time you are in the US and on the east coast, send me an email. I'd love to meet you.

This is amazing- the Amish culture is so fascinating (I think I have some family history in that culture). Would love to travel and visit their unique villages and take a step back in time. A great entry Rian!

I'd take the easy way out .
I would love to meet some Amisg people they are fascinating. I still have a book about Amish Quilts upstairs. Great tradition of making them from clothes you've worn.

Now that is a very novel and original and wonderful take on vintage, Rian.

What a very unique take on the theme and how fortunate you were to visit there. Great work

I love the image of Johan dealing with the Amish. They are wonderful gentle people who still live in the old ways. I suspect their lives are less hectic than our modern lives. I've visited them in the past on 3 different occasions in 3 different states, and always have been charmed by their ways. Thanks for sharing, Rian!

Sim zei

It really looks like a vintage one Rian! Thank for sharing your travel memories with us all!
And you're a lucky one to have been visiting the amish people; they give a real model of humanity.
I feel a little bit better, and I thank you very much for the virtual oranges! It helped! :)
Hugs my friend!
