Zomaar weer 'ns een blogje in het Nederlands. Ik breek me de nek af en toe over dat Engels taaltje en ik kan me nu eenmaal beter uitdrukken in 't Brabants. Er bestaat altijd nog zoiets als een TRANSLATER toch?.
Vandaag ben ik ffkes aan 't freubelen geweest met da fotooke van dit meidje. Ik schoot me zo in de lach toen ik dat 'kupke' zag...ze VROEG er gewoon om!

This week was the challenge from Artarazzi a picture painted by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones.
My first thougts were to make a image with the Greek God of music Apollo on the background but each attempt failed.
But "afijn" :D this is what I finaly made of it.

Finaly! A new layout is born tonight :D
I think the only person who has to "accustom??" the most...is me !

Theme; Before and After in a few staps.

I used a tutorial to add light effects. Placed some aninmals into my pic.
That lovely girl was so nice to pose again :D and I found a old garbage-can.
Further I add a simple warm filter and play around with a gradient/overlay and shadows. DONE for today I have to work now :-)

Today I had to hurry to participate with the challenge of Artarazzi.
Veronica has given us a beautiful picture that she found by Izabella Blue.
It was great fun to work with and for me a huge challenge because I admire Izabella's art such a long time !! In the past I have tried several times (and tutorials) to imitate her art but it never succeeded well.
For this reason I am so glad that now, for the first time, my image is a little similair.

Once again. The credits for this idea are for Izabella but the picture is made by myself.

Tips !!
*One of the first things I always do, is to check the levels of the photo that I want to use. (Click Ctrl+L when you open your pic. and give some corrections)
*When you make a "simple" image and only place some elements to the background. Try this. Duplicate (when you are finished) the background. Place it at the top of your layers and set the opacity to 20% and the blending mode to overlay. It will give your image another effect.
*When I'm going to work on a layer, first I duplicate it. When something go's wrong I still have the original.

At first I want to use a personal photo of a Japanese garden. My husband (Johan) and I gladly visit gardens therefore my pc.maps stands full with such photos.
However I discovered that Faye already come on this idea and for this reason I decided to make something else. The fun of these challenges are to try and be unique.

Theme; OUT OF BOUNDS / grunge effect.
I had so much fun to make this !
First I tried a new tutorial ; "out of bounds". It was a Dutch version that I found > HERE < but the english version (quit similar) you can follow > HERE <
this was my first attempt...

Next I placed some brushes and elements to my image with this result.

And third ; I followed another tutorial. "Add a grunge effect to your photos".
You can do this at many several manners but I found this one by Jeff ; PhotowalkPro -Revellphotography.com

Afterwards it had been perhaps better to use an ordinary photograph but...hmmzzz..it was my first try.

Again another challenge from Artarazzi.
A difficult one this time because I really didn't have a good idea.
First I tried to flip the background horizontally and vertical but eventual it seems more that it looks like a kaleidoscope ! (toverkijker)
Hmmzzz, so I threw it away . My second attempt...became this !

Once in a while I make a picture-badge of my latest photos. There for I use the mosaic maker from ; www bighuselabs/flickr.. The advantage of this site is, that it's not necessary to be a Flickrmember. When you have stored you're photos somewhere else on the internet(maybe by Photobucket ?) you only have to copy/
past the ulrs of the images you want to use. Easely done !

When you click on the right site from that page on "categories" , you will find plenty of PS. artists from other country's. I found it so inspirational that I couldn't wait to make a new picture.

It is again a little differently but I found it so nice to make.

Thema; Try to add light effects.
Phew...this was a difficult one. I still have some problems with adding lighteffects to my pictures. But i'm keep on trying.
I found an other tutorial by PSD.tutsplus.com (my fav. site to learn more about PS.)
First I took a personal vacation-photo from "het Marker meer" in Holland and give it some grayscales. Then...it was "sweaty blown"?? LOL (afijn 't was zweten geblazen whahaha)
The feet I gave an under water impact to add some clouds over it. (What an idea!!) Further I played around with some colored photofilters.
Nevertheless, at the final result I missed something, but hwat ? Ah !! A birds brush.
