(with a tiny touch sepia-color)
I always remember my early school years when I was taught by nuns.
The nuns: the Sisters of Charity Congregation of Carolus-Borremeus,
remained until 1974 in my hometown and I always wonder how sister Helène was taking in her life.
The fun part of this story is that I began a search for the congregation today and found the website so it still excist!! Isn't that remarkable?
I had to leave a comment in their guestbook!
Fingers crossed if they will answer :-)

nou Rian
het werk dat jij er van maakte
is mooier dan hun website
aan de andere kant , als die strenge nonnetjes uit jou school tijd , nu op het internet zitten , zullen ze toch niet zo streng meer zijn , of toch ?

I hope they answer as well. A beautiful image. The nuns that taught me...well I know one is still alive, but no habits any more.
Won't it be special if this piece of art helped to put you in touch with a bit of your past, Rian! This is lovely.
Beautiful piece, Rian and with so much personal meaning. I hope you hear back from the nuns.
Thank you also for your well wishes :)
Special memories for you Rian, you have created such a treasure here and I hope you get a response!
(I always loved the long flowing 'robes' of the nuns plus their 'beads, could 'float' around all day wearing them!!)
Lovely, Rian! And it led you to find the Sisters online!
