 after such a long time.....

 

This is my entry for NEXT week !!!

This is probably not my most time consuming photoshop design

but in order to follow the theme I used this postcard

with some cute little angels.

A while ago I found this Photoshop action that I had to try,

and that I have to share with you !!

It's such a easy going action which also works in

photoshop Elements. (According to the maker)

 I've tested it in an older PScs2 version of my and it worked too

It creates a paper map of a small box . Printable !!

You just have to download it and to instal it YOUR PSversion.

Easy peasy :-)

(this is a clickable smaller sample, the real size is A4)

I didn't had time yet to print it - cut out - and fold

but isn't it a fun idea for a personal gift ?

Ofcourse you can use a photo from your own stash but

if you want to grab my postcard to try it....feel free !!

This piece was created with the Q-Mask technique in PhotoShop.

Very handy when you have to decompose pictures :-)

I had a hard time coming up with a idea for this theme

and actually this is my second piece.

I didn't threw the first one away but I wanted to share a more personal image with you which I thougt would suit this theme also.

When I was recently in the states, we also visited the Amish people in Pennsylvania. Their "vintage" way of life intrigues me and I loved meeting these kind people.

I took this photo of my DH Johan when we bought some fruit and drinks in the store and after we visit their bakery and stables as well.

Because we couldn't pay with our creditcard, Johan (still struggling with the foreign currency) opened his purse and the nice lady was so helpfull to grab the money by herself.  LOL

Ofcourse it would have been easier to use a free online Photoshop Action

but than it would have been no challenge to me !!

It looks rather vintage don't you think ?

Since long I had finally some time to follow this photoshop tutorial;

"how to create a underwater scene"

It wasn't easy because I made the background by myself

and finding the right bubble brush and other elements

took me some time as well.

But allez...for the first attempt, I'm quite satisfied :-))

and played a little with the warp tool in Photoshop. 

I pasted pictures of a calligraphic manuscript.

I've used this week three personal vacation photo's and blend them.

I do not know if you ever have the opportunity to visit Yosemite national park in California,

but if you do....

I'll bet you will NEVER forget the beauty and grandeur of this park !!

Hey my dear blogfriends....I'ts good to be back after my long vacation.

I'm still busy with sorting my photos I took during our trip to the States

but when I saw this theme at the muses I couldn't resist to take a pause !!

It's my first design I've made since my absence and I must admit that it seems ages ago.

Have to call MY muse to get back to my weekly rhythm again :-))

Theme ;  My VACATION to the STATES !!

That this is precisely the theme of this week can't be coincidence!

Very soon I will be leaving for my trip to the States

so this will be my LAST POST FOR THE COMING WEEKS,.

The first image is a funny selfportret.

IMAGINE  'MOI'.....

 who is almost ready to pack her bags and happy as a child that her

DREAM COMES TRUE..

Some blog friends already knew that this trip was planned long ago.

 My husband Johan and I were married 30 years last year and to celebrate this, we decided to skip a huge feast with family and friends.

Instead we start saving a lot of money for this once in-a-life-time trip,

so we could take our children with us !!

And now.....the time is finaly there.

I feel so blessed that we can take this adventure together with

Cheryl and Mitchell !! 

When you enlarge this picture you can see the places which we are going to visit.

The FIRST WEEK we will be traveling trough the East-side of the States.

We start from Amsterdam → New York → Niagara Falls → Toronto →

back to Washington DC

Then we take a next flight to the West coast where we will traveling for another TWO WEEKS

We start from Los Angeles → Phoenix/Scottsdale → Grand Canyon →

Las Vegas → Yosemite NP → San Francisco → Santa Maria →

back to Los Angeles.

And then.....ooohh so tired

but hopefully TOTALY overwhelmed by ALL the sightseeings,

a lot of laughter and cherishing moments together

we start the longggg flight home to Amsterdam.

Once home...the last week I will use my time to make a book with hundreds of photos of this journey. YEAHHHHAAA hèhè.

Strawberries are called "aardbeien" in the Netherlands and not so far from my hometown there is a nice themepark. Aardbeien-land in Horst, Limburg.

I've never visit it but it sure looks very pleasant for little children and a family picnic :-)
